Lightwell was in a very sorry state when we first saw the building in the depths of the great recession. The building had been used as a site office for local developments and was a warren of small rooms which had been chopped around over the centuries.

Located on the corner of Brown Street and Booth Street close to King Street and Spring Gardens the location is exceptional justifying the major investment from which it has recently benefited.

A complete rebuild including new steel frame, roof, floors, windows, lift, stairs and mechanical services together with a complete rewire was needed. In other words Lightwell is effectively a brand-new building wrapped in an old shell.

The concierge managed reception area and stairs are all finished in solid oak floors with blue slate entrance hall and toilets. The building is traditional with a modern edge comprising panelled walls finished in Farrow and Ball colours giving it a “townhouse” feel.

From an IT point of view all suites are cabled and ready to go. In addition each suite has a drinks point including fridge and dishwasher to add to the luxury fit out.

The concierge managed security with complete CCTV coverage adds to the security of the building. In addition each evening our own security staff ensure the building is fully locked up and secure.

All suites in the building are available on short-term leases inclusive of service charge which allows certainty of costs and flexibility for future growth plans.
